“Rep” is short for “Representative”, as in the teams that represent the club in competitions with other clubs. The Pelham Raiders offer Rep programs in Box Lacrosse and Men’s Field Lacrosse. Players must be residentially bound to the Pelham Raiders Minor Lacrosse Association to play Rep.
In age divisions where there are enough players interested in Rep, a second Rep team (2 team) is also established. Rep teams are rated annually from “A” to “E” and participate in league play and provincials under the Ontario Lacrosse Association.
Rep Box is introduced at U7 while Rep for Men’s Field is introduced at U9.

Ontario Lacrosse has residential boundary regulations that require players to play Rep in the next closest centre to their home address. Players don’t have to live in Pelham but they must be residentially bound to the club to play Rep.
Families who are new to lacrosse can complete the Where Do I Play? form on the Ontario Lacrosse website to confirm their next closest centre.

U7 (Paperweight) Rep is played on a full floor with 5 players and a goalie on the playing surface at a time. Contact is modified at this division. Players may “place and push” on the ball-carrier’s arm while off-ball contact is penalized at all times. Players are required to wear full equipment, see equipment requirements here.
-
Players interested in playing U7 Rep must register and play house league. Rep practices will take place after the first week of house league.

REFUND POLICY
Refunds will be issued by e-transfer, or through Sportzsoft back to the Credit Card used to process the initial payment. Credit Card payments will take several business days to be posted to your bank account; the length of time varies by the individual banking institution.
A paid registration fee shall be fully refunded in the event the PRMLA is unable to provide "the opportunity to play lacrosse at the appropriate age level". No administrative fee will be withheld in this case.
A paid registration fee shall be partially refunded, less the $60 administrative fee, in the event that the player is cut from their corresponding Field or Box age group. Depending upon availability, Box players will first be offered the opportunity to play house league.
Refunds for medical reasons must be accompanied by a Doctor's note and will be assessed on an individual basis. There will be no refund for registrations due to medical reasons that occur after May 1st, with the exception of extenuating circumstances which must be presented to and approved by the PRMLA Executive Board.
There will be no refund for a registration fee if a player is suspended or expelled from the PRMLA because of the Governing Body (PRMLA, Zone 9, OLA, OMFLL, or OWFL) discipline policy, or code of conduct rules.
In addition to the information listed above, CANCELATIONS/REFUNDS will be issued within the following guidelines:
Up to March 31: Full amount less the $60 administration fee; when you register, the system automatically sends payment to the OLA for a number of standard player expenses including insurance & these fees cannot be recovered by our association. In order to ensure that we are not losing money for our programming, the association will not be absorbing these costs. We appreciate your understanding.
April 1 to May 1: 50% refund (includes the $60 administration fee)
After May 1: No refund available.
Updated as of September 10th, 2025.

No. For insurance purposes, all players must be registered to attend tryouts. Players that do not make a rep team will be refunded.

Prior to submitting a release request, the player must be registered and paid with their resident OLA association for the current year.
The OLA “Release Request Form” for the current year must be used in all cases where a player wishes to be released from his/her current lacrosse association in order to sign and play for another association.
The player, the parent or the guardian must complete all fields in Section 1 of the form and send it to the President of the association from which the release is requested.
Only the information presented in Section 1 will be considered; new reasons for a release will not be entertained should the association’s decision be appealed at any other level.
The association must respond to the applicant within 72 hours to acknowledge receipt of the request for a release. Within a reasonable time, the association is responsible for setting a date, time and location for when a release hearing will be held so that the applicant may be present to formally discuss the request.
There may be a fee for a release hearing at the association level.
Following the hearing, the association must complete Section 2 of the form with written reasons for granting or denying the request and provide the applicant with the information necessary to appeal to the Zone, should the applicant qualify to do so under the OLA Appeal’s Process.
