U7/Paperweight REP BOX

U7/Paperweight (PPW) - $325

Paperweight is a unique program for players born in 2019 or 2020 that introduces them to formal lacrosse. Contact is modified at this division - players may "place and push" on the ball carrier's arm while off-ball contact is penalized at all times. Full contact lacrosse is not introduced until the U9 age group. Depending on registration numbers, the association will aim to provide Team 1 and Team 2 Rep team options. PPW Rep teams regularly practice, play exhibition games against other associations, and participate in tournaments. The paperweight rep teams will participate in our home tournament, the Future Stars Tournament, which is scheduled for July 18th-20th.

Additional Information:

  • Floor times will begin mid-April and will conclude the third week of July.
  • PPW Rep teams will have 2 to 3 floor times per week.
  • Floor times include: 1-2 practices per week scheduled during the week, 3v3 mini game sessions on Saturday's mornings at 9:00 am at the Welland Main Arena, and approximately 5-7 exhibition games played against teams in Zone 9 throughout the season (see “What is Zone 9” below).
  • The PPW Rep Teams season will conclude with the Pelham Future Stars Tournament July 18th-20th.
  • Registration includes: dry-fit warm-up shirt and a pair of green shorts.
  • Full equipment is required - please refer to the OLA Box Lacrosse Equipment Guide
  • Extra team fees may be required for additional tournaments or expenses (PPW Rep team coaches may decide to participate in additional tournaments throughout the season. The cost of these tournaments will be additional).
  • Any questions please email raiderslacrosseregistrar@hotmail.com for assistance.

U9 to U17 REP BOX

U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 - $495

Our objective for these divisions is to find a place for every player who signs up to play. Depending on registration numbers, the association will aim to provide Team 1 and Team 2 Rep team options. These age divisions consist of regular practices and games, playoffs, tournaments, and a concluding event held across the Durham region with teams competing from all across Ontario called the Ontario Lacrosse Festival (Provincials).

Additional Information:

  • Floor times will begin mid-April
  • 2 to 3 floor times per week
  • Floor time includes: 1-2 practices per week and weekly games scheduled against teams in Zone 9 (see “What is Zone 9” below).
  • Rep Box teams will participate in Zone 9 playoffs the 2nd and 3rd week of July.
  • Included in the Rep Box Registration is entry into 1 tournament per team and the Ontario Lacrosse Festival in August.
  • Registration also includes: dry-fit warm-up shirt, dry-fit black polo, and a pair of green shorts.
  • Attendance at the Ontario Lacrosse Festival/Provincials is mandatory (see dates below).
  • Full equipment is required - please refer to the OLA Box Lacrosse Equipment Guide
  • Extra team fees may be required for additional tournaments or expenses.
  • Any questions please email raiderslacrosseregistrar@hotmail.com for assistance.

PROVINCIALS BY AGE CATEGORY:

U9 Division: August 3-5

U11 Division: August 8-10

U13 Division: August 1-3

U15 Division: August 1-3

U17 Division: August 8-10

PLEASE READ: As with other REP sports, to play on a REP team, a family needs to consider the level of commitment they can offer the team and take this into careful consideration before trying out. Depending on registration numbers, the PRMLA is often able to offer Team 1 and Team 2 options in an age group, which differentiates by skill and commitment level. We ask that if you are committing to any of the Pelham Raiders REP teams, that lacrosse does not come second to another REP sport. If you have any questions about commitment and/or team placement, or would like to inquire about House League options, please reach out to the Pelham Raiders Registrar for further information.

What is ZONE 9?

Minor Lacrosse teams across Ontario are grouped together by Zones for the regular season. Zone 9 covers Southern Ontario and includes the following 9 lacrosse clubs: Pelham, Lincoln, St. Catharines, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Fort Erie, Six Nations, Burlington, Hamilton, and Simcoe. Rep Box teams will play regular season games against the teams in their zone, and this does require travel to each of the lacrosse clubs home arenas. The regular season concludes mid-July with Zone 9 playoffs.
