Are you interested in becoming a 2026 Pelham Raiders Minor Lacrosse Association Sponsor?
The Pelham Raiders Minor Lacrosse Association has been a local sports organization representing the Pelham, Welland, Dunnville, and Port Colborne communities, competitively, since 1967. In 2024 we saw our registrations double from 2023, as we enrolled approximately 284 athletes ranging from ages 3 – 16 years old. In 2025 we saw our registrations nearly double again, as we enrolled approximately 421 athletes into our programming. Our goal for 2026 is to continue to grow our Canadian National Sport by expanding our programming to providing more options and opportunities for the youth in the South Niagara area. Our continued focus is to offer the youth of this community a sport that teaches teamwork, dedication, skill, mental toughness, and athleticism – the all-around sport!
With the support of our sponsors, the Pelham Raiders Minor Lacrosse Association successfully implemented the following programs during the 2025 season:
- “Try Before You Buy” Sessions: The PRMLA hosted several lacrosse sessions for new players who want to try lacrosse before committing to a full season. These sessions are free for all players and were run in January/February, prior to the season. The PRMLA had over 90 kids attend for these free sessions.
- Free Registration for our Soft Lacrosse (U5 Division), to encourage registrations and to make the sport affordable for our youngest members. The PRMLA had 67 Soft Lacrosse registrations in 2025.
- A restructuring of the U7 Paperweight age group, which included an additional weekly 3 v 3 mini game session, hosted at the Welland Main Arena. The PRMLA had 57 Paperweight registrations in 2025.
- Opening Day Ceremony: Scheduled on the first day of regular season home games with special guests including our MC John Julien, Bagpiper Alick Feller, Anthem Soloist Kylie Zwierschke, and NLL Champion Kiel Matisz.
- The Future Stars Tournament – our signature event. A highly competitive tournament for the U7 Paperweight age group. PRMLA hosted 16 teams from across Ontario for this 3-day tournament in July.
The PRMLA would like to continue to offer the above programs in 2026 at no additional cost to our members. The PRMLA would like to also implement the following additional programs in 2026:
- Friday Night Skill Development Sessions: The PRMLA would like to provide free skill development sessions on Friday evenings for all ages to assist in their continued growth.
- Expanding our House League program from just U7 and U9, to also include U11, U13, and U15.
- The creation of a team for the U22 age group.
In order for our organization to be able to offer all of the items listed above, in addition to all of the practices, games, tournaments, and activities that make sport fun, competitive, and memorable for young athletes – we are in need of sponsorship contributions. We recognize that your business is an integral part of this community, and we ask that you consider partnering with us for the 2026 season. We hope that with our community involvement, we will be able to return some value to your business, through one of the various sponsorship opportunities available.
Please see our tiered Sponsorship Program for the 2026 season attached. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

In addition to the above Sponsorship program, the PRMLA is looking for sponsorships for the following:
Pinnie Sponsorship |
$5000 | To ensure that our coaches have the proper equipment to run efficient and meaningful practices, the PRMLA would like to purchase reversible pinnies for all athletes in the U9 to U17 age groups (approximately 250). In return for this sponsorship, the PRMLA will have the company name printed on both sides of the pinnies for the entire organization, in addition to promotion on the sponsorship banner, social media, email logo, and link on website. The PRMLA will also present the business with a thank you letter and plaque from the association. |
Future Stars Tournament Sponsorship |
$4000 | The PRMLA would like to continue to ensure that the “Future Stars” tournament is one of the most sought-after tournaments for teams across Ontario for the U7 age group. The sponsorship would assist the PRMLA in purchasing medals and t-shirts for every athlete (approximately 350), as well as prizes for the “Player of the Game” (approximately 48). In return for this sponsorship, the PRMLA would have the company name printed on the back of every t-shirt in addition to promotion on the sponsorship banner, social media, email logo, and link on website. The PRMLA will also present the business with a thank you letter and plaque from the association. |
